Planned Order is not getting converted to Production order. Below is the screen shot where the error is "You can not make an assignment to Make-to-order stock"

It is observed that order type in the planned Order is "LA" which is Stock Type, Sales order has requirement type KE which is Make to Order. Planned order type must be "KD" Individual Customer it was LA stock order. For which the error was seen. This is due to Inconsistency in the sales order status.

Resolution

Inconsistency in status of sales order can be corrected by running the correction report SDSTATU2, and carry out MRP run by planning mode as 3 delete and recreate which deletes the old inconsistent planned order and generates a new planned order, which is converted to Production Order.
